What Exactly is Garden Decor
Garden decor by association has come to mean any ornamental addition to your lawn and garden spaces such as statues , bird feeders, bird baths , benches and chairs, fountains and waterfalls and attractive and strategically placed colorful vases and containers ,garden gnomes and a whole host of other whimsically themed characters.

But garden decor also includes plants shrubs and trees as many are extremely ornamental and provide focal points in our yards at different times of the season The more unusual and unique the plant the bigger the statement.
As more and more home owners are discovering the potential of extending their living spaces outdoors not only for family use but for entertainment purposes by adding patios, decks , hot tub areas, outdoor kitchens ,outdoor fire places, little secluded secret privacy areas for reading or writing, some have even included outdoor bedrooms giving the term garden bed a whole new meaning . These larger, more expensive items of garden decor though maybe less traditional than the familiar garden gnome but they are all becoming widely used and welcomed to extend the indoor living spaces of the more confined spaces of modern homes.
To further extend the use of these new outdoor rooms after the sun has set many home owners employ decorative or themed lighting as part of their garden decor these can be either electric lights served from the homes mains supply, solar lights that collect the suns energy in the daytime hours in a battery and emit it as light after dark, or it could be as simple as candles or garden torches to light a an evening party on the patio.

Just as homeowners have always chosen to decorate their interior rooms with favorite themes to endow the space with their own personal signature they are now taking this practice outside by the use if themed or particularly styled items of garden decor they are creating outdoor living spaces inspired by various countries Japanese styled gardens, French provincial and Italian gardens, and let’s not forget the old favorite the English cottage garden ,but new trends in outdoor spaces are emerging Victorian and colonial themed designs all enhanced with suitably period designed items of garden decor to support the personal theme of the home owner.
Just as indoors The more unusual and unique these garden nick knacks, the more appealing to visitors and home owner alike, and just as in side the home the more appealing and unusual the display the more kudos the homeowner receives from her visitors. Tasteful pieces of garden decor arranged thoughtfully in a garden situation say just as much about the home and the people who live there as do indoor ornaments and furniture items . Exquisite unique and unusual pieces of garden decor not only accentuate the beauty of the plants and flowers which surround them but they can be just as much a conversation piece for outside as any item of interior decor.
As a result, there are many garden decor accessories available on the market in an infinite number of styles and themes that encourage home owners to release their inner designer and give them courage to express their different decorating styles and act as a reflection of the home owners own personality and tastes
